ITINERARY QUIET LION TOUR OF THAILAND 2011

DAY 1:   FRIDAY 22nd APRIL 2011 (Good Friday).

 

 Arrive Perth International Airport

 Depart Perth International Airport.

 

PM Arrive Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok.

Briefing and get-together. Arrival dinner.

Overnight accommodation Royal Benja Hotel Bangkok

 

DAY 2:   SATURDAY 23rd APRIL 2011

 

7.30 am To Kanchanaburi. Train to Wpo Viaduct with lunch overlooking River.

Visit Thadan Bridge. Check-in Home Phu Toey.

19.00 hrs Light and sound show.

19.30 hrs Welcome Dinner as guests of Khun Kanit..

Overnight accommodation at Home Phu Toey.

 

DAY 3: SUNDAY 24th APRIL 2011

 

8.00am  Visit scene of Hintok Road POW Cp, Kinsayok Cp area, Sai Yok Yai Waterfalls, Houseboat trip and lunch on River Kwai,

Visit Kanyu River Cp and Hintok River POW Cp. Fittest to climb hillside to rail track and walk through Compressor Cutting to Hintok Road. Others to walk past Hintok Station to Compressor.Cutting.

Check-in Home Phu Toey.

19.00 hrs Light and sound show & reception.

DAY 4: MONDAY 25th APRIL 2011

 

3.30am  Early wake-up for Dawn Service in Hellfire Pass. Breakfast at Home Phu Toey.

8.40am To Kanchanaburi for 10 Anzac Day Ceremony at Kanchanaburi War Cemetery.

Lunch at Ban Rao Restaurant. Visit Thailand Burma Railway Centre.

DAY 5: TUESDAY 26th APRIL 2011

 

8.00am Walk the Burma Railway Heritage Trail from Hintok Cutting to.Hellfire Pass Museum.

Visit Jack Chalker display and Weary Dunlop Park.

DAY 6: WEDNESDAY 27th APRIL 2011

 

Obelisk ceremony. Oonjai Memorial. Buddhist ceremony. Takanun and Kao L D. (lunch overlooking dam wall)., Brankassi and Hindato. Tarsau cp sites & Sai Yok Noi Falls. Tonchan cps.

 

Farewell dinner and concert as guests of Khun Kanit Wanachote in the Weary Dunlop Park.

DAY 7: THURSDAY 28TH APRIL 2011

 

To Kanchanaburi via Thadan and Lat Ya Shinto Shrine. Lunch at Tida Loa Restaurant by Bridge. Visit Bridge over River Kwai and nearby areas.

Thailand Burma Railway Centre and Kanchanabui Cemetery.

 

7.30PM Welcome party at Pung Waan. Late night..

DAY 8: FRIDAY 29th APRIL 2011

 

Visit Tha Muang, Ban Pong and Nong Pladuk.

Lunch on raft on two rivers and passing Bridge.

DAY 9: SATURDAY 30th APRIL 2011

 

Visit Floating Markets and Nakon Pathom en route to Bangkok.

Lunch and cultural show at Rose Gardens.

DAY 10: SUNDAY 1st MAY 2011

 

8.30 Visit the Royal Summer Palaces at Bang Pa-in & the ancient capital Ayutthaya.

Lunch cruising down the Chayo Phraya River.

Free time after cruise to shop. (Juniors under supervision).

 

Overnight accommodation at Royal Benja Hotel.

DAY 11: MONDAY 2ND MAY 2011

 

City tour. Lunch by Chao Praya Rivert.

Time for shopping Bangkok.

 

Final dinner at Royal Benja Hotel

DAY 12: TUESDAY 3RD MAY 2011

 

 Leave hotel for transfer to Bangkok (Suvarnaphumi) Airport.

Depart Bangkok for Perth.

PM Arrive Perth International Airport.
